RENEWALS
Unarmed Guards/Officers renew registration every two (2) years.
Unarmed security guards must complete two hours of refresher training every two (2) years and pass a multiple-choice test with a minimum score of 70% before renewing their guard registration.
LATE RENEWAL TIME PERIOD
90-day late renewal period is available for license renewal.
Unarmed security officers can renew during this time but cannot work with an expired license.

You must have a current Tennessee Unarmed Security Guard License that has not exceeded 90 days past the expiration date. If your license exceeds the 90-day Expiration Date, you must complete the 4-Hour General Training for Unarmed Security License.
